The OM 665 model came out in 1926 and was nicknamed Superba. It mounted a powerful and versatile six-cylinder engine with side valves on a well-devised and surprisingly light chassis.
These features soon led to sports versions which quickly proved their worth the following year when they arrived first, second and third in the first Mille Miglia. The N5 was presented in 1929 as the brilliant touring version of this model.
